Marrakech on pause

This is my first post regarding photography. The reason that I even have the category is basically because I enjoy taking pictures. Not very good at it, but I do like it and whenever I’m planning to take a trip, a vacation or just a going for the weekend I always rely on sites like Picasa, Flickr, google earth’s Panoramio (also virtual tourist or tripadvisor) to see where I should go. The visual is alway a top influence of where I want to be.
So, as far as I made some investment on a new camera with some fairly nice lents I thought why not share some of my views of the world and contribute to the world-geography-photograph-gallery.
I try to get the most beautiful images of places I travel to, trying to freeze and fake the sensation of really being there. So, places I love always seem to have greater pictures.
This first post is a collection of chosen photos from Marrakech (and bit of Essaouira) taken on August 2007. It’s so near where I live – Lisbon, Portugal – but it’s so different, so many different sounds, smells, colors, human behavior. It’s a different culture with all that is beautiful in it.
It was easy to take good photos as, at least from a European guy, almost everything is so “new” and wonderful.
I hope you enjoy and try to visit it.
This is only some of them, here is the full album!
