Don’t get any Big Ideas ?!? (Radiohead scotch_mist)
Happy 2008!
Probably the best time to have big ideas as else wise you’ll have to wait another year…
For a band preaching that big ideas won’t work, they sure are having lot’s of them. First a strangely acclaimed and visionary-perceived move to do a web-release download only of In Rainbows, then a world wide web cast of live bits, “unofficial” video and even talk-show-host material.. and finally, another web cast with all album songs live to “celebrate” the launch of a physical object to go with the album (more of a friendly marketing move to help the late release… but they seem to enjoy doing it and we sure love to watch it!.. so perfect match).
Well, maybe Nude song isn’t missing the point as these really are all simple/small ideas and those are the ones that really work. People just like to call them big because these ideas worked and cause they don’t want to feel that something so simple just miss them!
So in 2008 have lots of ideas.. even big ones!
